This chapter describes system requirements for T-Up installation and execution process.
The following describes system requirements for installing T-Up.
Supported Operating System and Platform
T-Up GUI uses Eclipse SWT/JFace library, and basically supports the following OS environment.
| System | Platform |
|---|---|
| Supported OS | Windows and Unix (Linux) |
Hardware & Software
| System | Platform and Version |
|---|---|
| Hardware | Disk space of more than 30 MB |
| Software (Web Browser) | Chrome, Internet Explorer (version 9 or later), Firefox, etc. (As a compatibility analysis report of T-Up is generated in HTML format, a web browser is required to check the report.) |
T-Up is provided as a compression file with .zip extension, and it can be used after the file is decompressed without a separate installation.
When the file is decompressed, the following directories and script files are shown.
installation-file.zip |--images |--lib |--log |--loader_bin (deprecated) |--T-Up.x86 |--T-Up.x86_64 |--T-Up.x86.bat |--T-Up.x86_64.bat |--Analyzer_history.xml |--Migrator_history.xml |--tableMigrator.zip
Contains image files used in T-Up.
Contains library files used in T-Up.
Stores execution logs. The file is created when T-Up is executed.
Stores HyperLoader, which is currently not available in T-Up.
T-Up execution script used in 32 bit Unix (Linux).
T-Up execution script used in 64 bit Unix (Linux).
T-Up execution script used in 32 bit Windows.
T-Up execution script used in 64 bit Windows.
Stores Analyzer execution history. The file is created when T-Up is executed.
Stores Migrator execution history. The file is created when T-Up is executed.
Compression file of tableMigrator, which is a data migration tool used in T-Up.
The following describes execution process of T-Up.
Configure JDBC Driver.
Connecting to the database is required to perform T-Up compatibility analysis and migration. As T-Up is run on Java, copy the JDBC Driver of the connected database to the lib directory. (Tibero JDBC is basically provided.)
Open an execution script suitable for the operating system by using an editor, and check whether the proper version of JDBC Driver is included in the path as follows. If a different version is shown, or required version is not available, modify the configuration.
Unix (Linux) script
jdbc_lib=./lib/ifxjdbc.jar:./lib/ifxjdbcx.jar:./lib/jconn4.jar:./lib/jconn3.jar: ./lib/ojdbc6.jar:./lib/ojdbc14.jar:./lib/tibero6-jdbc.jar:./lib/updb6-jdbc.jar: ./lib/inspur11-jdbc.jar:./lib/sqljdbc4.jar:./lib/sqljdbc.jar
Windows script
set jdbc_lib=.\lib\ifxjdbc.jar;.\lib\ifxjdbcx.jar;.\lib\jconn4.jar; .\lib\jconn3.jar;.\lib\ojdbc6.jar;.\lib\ojdbc14.jar;.\lib\tibero6-jdbc.jar; .\lib\updb6-jdbc.jar;.\lib\inspur11-jdbc.jar;.\lib\sqljdbc4.jar; .\lib\sqljdbc.jar
Run the execution script suitable for the user's OS environment.
